Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Adrashu collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Service. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains what information Adrashu collects from Senders, Travelers, and Receivers who use our website and mobile apps (the "Service"), why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It does not cover information collected by our internal backoffice/admin tools from Adrashu staff, who are separately bound by internal policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: full name, email address, password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text), and optionally a phone number
  • Profile photo
  • Verification documents you choose to submit (e.g. a government ID or other document), and their expiry date if applicable
  • Listing details: trip routes, dates, capacity, and prices; shipment descriptions, weight, dimensions, declared value, item category, and photos
  • Messages you send in booking chat or price-negotiation chat
  • Reviews, ratings, and reports you submit
  • Your preferred language and notification preferences

Information collected automatically

  • Real-time or point-in-time GPS location, but only when a Traveler actively chooses to share it during an active booking — this is never collected in the background or outside an active booking
  • Device and app information needed to deliver push notifications (a device push token)
  • Basic technical information such as IP address and browser/device type, for security and fraud-prevention purposes

Information we do not currently collect

Adrashu does not currently process or store any payment card, bank account, or other financial-instrument information, because payment between Senders and Travelers is arranged directly between them, outside the Service. If we introduce in-app payment processing in the future, this Policy will be updated to describe what a payment processor collects and how it's handled before that feature launches.

3. How we use your information

  • To operate the core Service: matching Senders and Travelers, displaying listings, enabling booking and chat, and showing delivery status
  • To verify identity documents you choose to submit, and to compute your account's "Verified" status
  • To send you transactional communications: two-factor login codes, password reset codes, booking and negotiation updates, and other account notifications, by email and/or push notification
  • To show you content in your preferred language, including translated location and item names where available
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service
  • To respond to support requests and investigate reports/disputes between users
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it for third-party advertising purposes.

With other users

Some information is necessarily visible to a matched counterparty so a booking can happen: your name, profile photo, rating, and verification badge are visible on your listings and to anyone you're booked or negotiating with. Your phone number is only shared with a confirmed booking counterparty, not publicly. Messages you send in a chat are visible to the other participants in that chat (which, for a booking, may include a Sender, Traveler, and a named Receiver).

With service providers

We use third-party providers to deliver core functionality, such as sending transactional email and (on mobile) delivering push notifications. These providers only receive the information needed to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

For legal reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Adrashu, our users, or the public.

5. How we protect verification documents

Documents you submit for verification (such as ID scans) are stored in private storage that is never publicly reachable. They can only be viewed by you, or by Adrashu staff with a specific document-review permission, through an authenticated request — there is no public URL for a verification document at any point.

6. Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to retain it for longer (for example, records relevant to an unresolved dispute or report, or as required by law). Verification documents are deleted when no longer needed for the purpose they were submitted for, or on account closure, whichever is later, subject to the same legal-retention exception.

7. Your rights and choices

  • You can access and update most of your account information directly from your profile.
  • You can control which email notifications you receive from your notification settings.
  • You can enable or disable two-factor authentication at any time.
  • You can request a copy of your personal information, or request that we delete it, subject to the retention exceptions described above — contact us using the details in Section 11.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18. If we learn we've collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for data in transit, one-way hashing for passwords, private (non-public) storage for verification documents, and optional two-factor authentication for your account. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you before it takes effect.

11. Contact us

Questions about this Policy, or requests relating to your personal information, can be sent to contact@adrashu.com.
